Curriculum Lead of Music

Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Curriculum Lead of Music to lead
and manage staff to construct and deliver an ambitious curriculum that supports
all students to achieve exceptional outcomes. The successful candidate will be
an experienced / aspirational professional, who is enthusiastic, influential
and committed to working in pursuit of success for the academy and its
learners.

Key Duties
· To play an active role in curriculum planning and delivery
· Be accountable for the learning and achievement of all students across
Music
· Have responsibility for the pastoral care of an identified tutor group.
· Promote the educational success and outstanding outcomes of all our
students through strong leadership
· Implement school policies and procedures as appropriate in day-to-day activities.
The successful candidate will
· QTS and a Teacher of Music who has experience teaching KS43, KS4 &
KS5 Music
· Have experience of planning, delivery, and assessment of learning
activities for identified groups of students at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5
·
Experience of Pearson
Edexcel desirable but not essential
· Be an experienced leader who can manage staff and support colleagues to
achieve targets set.
· Ensure student achievement is at least in line with expectations.
· Be accountable for progress and achievement of students.
· Have experience of a large multicultural school
· Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and
young people
· Have excellent communication skills and enthuse staff and implement
ideas

Start Date: September 2026
Salary: AST 1-12 dependent on experience, plus
Curriculum Lead allowance of £5,873
Job role: Full time, Permanent
