About the Role
Job Title: Head Chef
Location: Brooke Weston Academy
Salary: BWT Grade 6, Point 16 - full time equivalent (FTE) salary - £29,412, pro rata'd £27,314 per annum
Hours per week/Weeks per year: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 3pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break, 39 weeks per year
About the Head Chef role
We have the opportunity to appoint a Head Chef to join our Secondary catering team. Our catering team provide fresh hot and cold food to students and staff across four schools within the Brooke Weston Trust across Corby and Kettering. Working closely with the Senior Catering Manager and Assistant Chef, you will assist with all aspects of food preparation, food service, kitchen and restaurant hygiene in a busy and demanding environment. The ideal candidate may already have experience working in a school catering environment, however it is essential that any candidate will share our vision to provide an enjoyable and safe environment during lunch times and dismiss the age-old notion that school dinners are bad! Travel between sites may also be required.
