About the Senior Student Support
Officer role
As a Senior Student Support Officer, you'll be at the heart of our mission to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You'll work closely with teaching staff to identify and support pupils needing extra help, developing and implementing personalised action plans.
Your role will involve one-on-one mentoring, collaborating with parents and external agencies to address performance and behaviour issues, and managing safeguarding and child protection queries. You'll conduct home visits to foster positive family support, monitor progress, and support the re-integration of excluded pupils. Additionally, you'll develop partnerships with external organisations, maintain accurate records, and provide extra-curricular support.
