About this Role

Trinity Academy are looking to recruit a Head of  Design Technology who will enthuse pupils to learn with a combination of great subject knowledge, energy and dedication.

We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop and all our staff provide important role models to them in terms of positive attitude, work ethic and diligence.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and develop the Design Technology department with high expectations and a collaborative ethos

  • Plan and deliver a coherent curriculum across KS3, KS4 and KS5

  • Monitoring progress and outcomes to drive improvement and raise standards

  • Line-manage and support staff within the department

  • Oversee workshops, equipment and health and safety procedures

  • Champion innovative practice, including the use of CAD/CAM and modern technologies

  • Contribute to whole-school priorities as a middle leader
