Join Our Estates Team in the North Hub!

We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, and enthusiastic individual to join the Estates and Facilities team in the North Hub of the Acer Trust. The two schools are at The Cooper School and Glory Farm Primary School in Bicester. We would like you to assist the Site Manager and the current team, to carry out a range of duties aimed at ensuring the overall smooth running, maintenance, and safety of the school environment.

Duties include: maintaining a clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds; litter and rubbish collecting around the school site; carrying out some cleaning as required; and routine maintenance and minor repairs.

At times, the role may be physically demanding, and a flexible ’can do approach’ is often required, and being able to work as part of a team is essential. You will liaise with contractors and school staff as required.

Experience and qualifications in any related trades would be an advantage, but are not essential as full training will be given. A willingness to undertake further training where necessary is essential.

The post is 22.5 hours per week (working hours patterns open to negotiation for the right candidate) and is paid at £25,183 - £25,583 pro rata.  The role will be worked on a shift pattern between the hours of 6.30 am – 11:00 am Monday to Friday (with some potential for flexibility), depending on the needs of the school, across the full year. Benefits include 25 days pro rata holiday per year plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days pro rata after 5 years’ service, and a generous pension scheme.
