These temporary, fixed term HLTA roles are to complement the professional work of our Teachers, by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
The focus of these roles will be to undertake PPA and Leadership time cover for classes.
In line with the HLTA standards promote the involvement of pupils in the social and academic processes of the school
· Enable pupils to become more independent learners
· Help to raise standards of achievement for all pupils
· To provide general care and welfare to all pupils
The roles are temporary / fixed term in nature and will be initially based at Rowan Gate Wellingborough. There are two temporary roles available working the following pattern:
Role 1 - Monday; 8:40am - 3:30pm, Wednesday; 8:40am - 3:30pm, Thursday; 8:40am - 4pm & Friday; 8:40am - 3:30pm
Role 2 - Monday; 8:40am - 3:30pm, Wednesday; 8:40am - 3:30pm, Thursday; 8:40am - 4pm
As with all our vacancies, successful candidates will be appointed to work at any of the Rowan Gate School sites. As far as possible staff will be allocated to a specific site on an annual basis but travel between sites may be necessary on occasion.

Appointments will also be subject to satisfactory clearances, which will include a right to work check, medical assessment and satisfactory references, among other checks. In addition, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, we are also required to carry out online searches for all successfully shortlisted candidates.
