We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Lunchtime Supervisors to join our Rowan Gate team. We are looking for committed individuals who want to support children with additional needs in a School environment.
The role of a Lunchtime Supervisor covers a range of activities to ensure that lunchtimes at School are a safe and effective part of the children's education and development.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Set up the school hall or classrooms ready for lunch and clear away leaving the room clean, tidy and ready for afternoon sessions
- Assist with the feeding and help with toileting as required
- Assist in the playground following the direction from classroom staff
The successful candidate will have:
- Good communication and listening skills
- An interest in working with and interacting with children with SEN
- The ability to work as part of a team
- An awareness of child protection issues
- An ability to problem solve, and communicate adequately concerning issues with staff and children
Please note that these roles are permanent, part time roles working 10 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year (term time). The working pattern is 12midday - 2pm from Monday through to Friday.
We have three roles available based at either our Wilby, Tennyson Road, Rushden or Hayway, Rushden sites. However the successful candidate will be appointed to Rowan Gate Primary School and may be required to work at any of our other sites as required. As far as possible staff will be allocated to a specific site on an annual basis but travel between sites may be necessary on occasion.
We are holding a recruitment event at two of our sites (Hayway, Rushden & Finedon Road, Wellingborough) on Tuesday 20th January 2026 between 3:30pm & 5pm, where you will be able to speak to School Staff about the roles - no appointment is necessary so please feel free to attend to learn more about our School.
