This is an exciting opportunity for a Work Experience Adviser to join our
College and work within the Futures team. Here you will support the delivery of
a high-quality Work Experience programme across the College. Working closely
with the Work-related Learning and Employability Manager, you will help
coordinate meaningful work placements and activities that enable students to
develop employability skills, gain workplace insights, and progress towards
their chosen careers.
You will play a key role in supporting learners to access and succeed in
work experience opportunities, ensuring placements are well-matched to their
aspirations and areas of study. The role involves building and maintaining
positive relationships with local employers and partners, as well as
confidently engaging with students to prepare them for the workplace. You will
be committed to empowering students to make informed decisions about their
future pathways, including employment, further education, or training.
If successful, you would play a vital role in the College, which is graded
as ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted. Our College excels in providing a
broad, inclusive and high-quality education to all of our learners, which has
resulted in some of the highest levels of progression to Higher Education in
the sector. During the recent exams, students at Joseph Chamberlain
College achieved outstanding exam results.

Hours of work: Hours of work will be 36.5 hours over 5 days, during term time plus an
additional 10 days which will be agreed by your line manager. You will very
occasionally be required to work outside normal hours and this will be agreed
by negotiation.
Salary: The salary for this post is paid on the Support Staff Pay Scale at point
11, currently £28634 per annum, FTE (Salary will be adjusted for full-time, and
term time plus 10 days working).
