We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic School Liaison
and Events Officer to join Joseph Chamberlain College. This is an exciting
opportunity for an individual with excellent communication and administrative
skills to work closely with the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment, the Marketing
and Admissions teams to ensure an effective and positive experience for
prospective students and applicants.
As part of this role, you will be expected to coordinate and deliver school liaison activities and support college events associated with student recruitment. This includes implementing an effective programme of school liaison to support the recruitment strategy, developing strong relationships with local secondary schools and providing professional communications and facilitating advice on progression to Sixth Form.
You will also work closely with the Admissions Officer to support the delivery of an effective and customer-focussed admissions process, supporting applicants and parents from the initial application process through to enrolment.
This role involves travelling to local schools to represent and be an ambassador of the College at student recruitment events. There may be some work out of hours to support the needs, which will be agreed by the line manager.
You would play a vital role in the College, which is graded as ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted. Our College excels in providing a broad, inclusive and high-quality education to all of our learners, which has resulted in some of the highest levels of progression to Higher Education in the sector. In 2023, students at Joseph Chamberlain College achieved outstanding exam results. Our College is situated within easy reach of Birmingham City Centre, in a state-of-the-art building with superbly equipped classrooms and outstanding facilities.

Hours of work: Full-time, permanent (Full-time, term-time applications may be considered)
Salary: The salary for this post will be up point 17 on the support staff Sixth Form College’s salary scale, which is £34,253 FTE, and this will be adjusted for term-time.
