Crowdys Hill School is a dynamic and expanding special school for students with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs from across the Borough of Swindon from the ages of 4 to 19.
We are seeking to employ a Family Support and Attendance Officer to work as part of our Safeguarding Team supporting our young people and their families.
Under the guidance of our Designated Safeguarding and Attendance Lead, you will work closely with staff, pupils, parents and the local authority to monitor and improve attendance, including look for any trends and reporting this back in weekly/termly meetings with relevant staff.
You will support our families through attending and organising Early Help meetings, following a graduated response to improve outcomes for our pupils.
You will promote positive behaviours and act as a role model for the pupils. You will also work as part of our Safeguarding team attending relevant meetings and keep notes of action points.
You will work across both our sites (Jefferies Avenue and Swindon College North Star) as well as undertaking home visits so a driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential (mileage paid).
