About this Role

Crowdys Hill is a specialist provision for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, from the Borough or Swindon and beyond.  We cater for over 320 students, ranging from the age of 4 to 19 across two sites.

At our school, we understand the importance of social and emotional well-being and  pride ourselves by providing a  warm, nurturing and non-judgemental environment for children, young people and their families. We are seeking to employ a Social and Emotional Support Assistant to join our growing  therapeutic team.  We offer flexible and adaptable support to children, families and teachers across the two sites.  You will need to have good listening skills and value the importance of children and young people feeling heard, valued, respected with the right to thrive to reach their full potential. You will need to be patience, consistent, authentic and  have a good sense of humour.

We value our staff and understand the importance of their own emotional wellbeing we recognize how vital it is to ensure they are supported, valued and heard, as we believe this reflects back into our diverse school community.

As a social and emotional intervention assistant your role would be to offer creative interventions whereby children and young people here at Crowdys Hill school can continue to identify as empowered, autonomous individuals.   You will need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle so you can travel between our two sites (mileage paid).

If this sounds like the job for you, then we can offer:

  • Friendly and supportive colleagues.
