Danes Hill School are looking for two key workers to provide high-quality care and early years education for children within the nursery ages, supporting their learning and development in line with the EYFS framework. The Key Worker will contribute to a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure each child thrives.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Learning
- Act as a Key Person for a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are met and progress is monitored.
- Support and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
- Observe, assess and record children's development, maintaining accurate learning records
- Contribute to planning a stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment.
- Promote children’s emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
- Ensure high standards of care, including feeding, personal hygiene, and daily routines.
- Support inclusive practice, ensuring all children can access learning opportunities.
- Provide a safe, secure environment in which children can learn and develop.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies, including recognising and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Follow all school policies relating to health & safety, behaviour, and child protection.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Share information about children’s development through informal discussions, reports, and parents’ evenings.
