About this Role

The Peripatetic Learning Support Teacher will provide high-quality, targeted 1:1 support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and ASC, across the Senior School. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling pupils to build confidence, make strong academic progress and thrive.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver specialist 1:1 SEND support tailored to individual needs
  • Support staff with differentiation and inclusive classroom strategies
  • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records (IEPs/pupil passports)
  • Communicate effectively with parents, including termly reports and parents’ evenings
  • Promote pupil confidence, independence and self-advocacy
  • Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times

About You

  • Specialist SEND qualification required (e.g. Level 5/7 SpLD, APC, NASENCO)
  • Experience supporting pupils across KS3–KS5, including exam access arrangements
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and inclusive pedagogy
  • Ability to work independently with excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of the GCSE and A Level exams system including access arrangements
  • Confident using assistive technology and supporting a range of subjects
