About this Role

Polden Bower School are seeking an experienced and motivated Bid Writer to join our Federation one day per week to identify and secure funding opportunities that support our strategic priorities and enhance opportunities for children.

This post is paid at a grade 13 £5,268- £5,704 per annum depending on experience (pay award pending), 7.5 hours a week 8.30 AM-4.30 PM all year round. Can work the hours flexibly by negotiation. 

Key Duties:

• Research relevant grants, trusts, and funding programmes.

• Prepare persuasive, high‑quality bid submissions.

• Draft budgets, costing information, and impact statements.

• Work collaboratively with school staff to gather supporting information.

• Track bid outcomes and maintain accurate funding records.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in bid writing or professional writing roles.

• Is highly organised and able to meet deadlines independently.

• Communicates clearly and professionally.

• Works effectively with a range of stakeholders.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail.

Experience in education, charity, or public‑sector settings is desirable.
