Radley College is seeking friendly, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Housekeeping team as Cleaners. This is a part-time, term-time only role, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming environment at a leading independent boarding school. Situated in a beautiful rural setting just south of Oxford, Radley College is known for its warm, generous and vibrant community, where both staff and pupils are encouraged to thrive and fully engage in College life.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a range of College facilities, including boarding houses, classrooms, offices and sports areas. Duties include general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping and sanitising surfaces, as well as assisting with bed changes and handling laundry where required. You will be expected to use cleaning equipment and products safely, work efficiently to agreed schedules, and follow all health and safety procedures while contributing positively as part of a team.
The role is offered on a term-time only basis, working 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1:00pm, across approximately 33 weeks of the year. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, organised and self-motivated, with a positive and flexible attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Previous cleaning experience would be desirable but is not essential.
In return, Radley College offers a supportive working environment with access to a range of staff benefits including a pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, free on-site parking and reduced membership to the College’s sports facilities.
Closing date for applications is 12 noon, Thursday 4 June, and we reserve the right to review applications as they are received.
