Small enough to care, big enough to make a positive impact

The School Games inspires young people making a positive and meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people through sport and physical activity.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Sports Development Officer to champion this mission. In this role, you will be instrumental in putting physical activity and school sport at the very heart of our educational community.

The School Games serves as a powerful catalyst for positive change, dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people through the indelible impact of sport and physical activity. By fostering an inclusive environment, the initiative inspires the next generation to lead healthier, happier, and more active lives, ensuring that every child experiences the holistic benefits of movement.

Your focus will be on creating diverse opportunities for young people to enjoy, learn, and grow. Through a vibrant mix of competitive sports and developmental activities, you will empower students to build essential life skills, embrace teamwork, and strive to achieve their own "personal best."

The working hours for the post are 12 hours per week full year. This post is fixed term until 31st March 2027 in the first instance.
