Join a school where standards are high, behaviour is good, and ambition is encouraged.
We are a thriving 13-18 school in South East Northumberland with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and a strong commitment to excellence. We believe that every student deserves the chance to succeed, and we are looking for a dedicated teacher to help us make that happen.
Are you an inspiring music teacher ready to orchestrate the next generation of talent? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Arts Faculty, where our bespoke new facilities empower you to deliver an ambitious and performance-rich curriculum
While your primary focus will be shaping the musical journey of students in Years 9–11 at Seaton Valley High School, you will be part of our school community. As our schools share a single governing body, you may also have the opportunity to work with younger emerging talents at Whytrig Middle School or Seaton Sluice Middle School. We are looking for someone to work from 0.6FTE to 1.0FTE depending on the candidate preferences and timetabling, to be discussed at interview, please indicate on your application form if you have a strong requirement.
As a relatively small school, Seaton Valley High School benefits from a strong sense of community where every student is known and valued. Students embrace our core expectations: be ready, be respectful, be safe. These values are deeply embedded in everyday school life, helping to create a calm, purposeful learning environment where all students can thrive.
We welcome applications from teachers at all stages in their career, including ECTs, if you share our values and want to become part of a school that puts students and learning at the heart of everything we do. Visits to the school are also warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact us by email at vacancies@svf.org.uk to make an appointment.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check is required for this post.
