DATA AND EXAMINATIONS ASSISTANT (Band 2)
Band 2: Scale Point 4 £25,185 FTE (£21,019 actual)

Permanent
35 hours per week, term time plus five days

Small enough to care, big enough to make a positive impact

We are looking for an effective administrator to undertake this new role to provide timely and accurate support for data and examinations across Years 9-13. This will require a high level of attention to detail and accurate maintenance of systems and records whilst dealing with face-to-face and telephone queries from students, staff and external bodies. Working to strict deadlines to submit data to the local authority, funding agencies and examining bodies is a constant feature of the team’s work. You will need to plan and organise your own work as well as playing a key role in ensuring data, resources and staffing are in place so that national tests and public examinations run smoothly and are correctly administered. The role also involves working to formal examining body procedures and the highest levels of trust and confidentiality.

With experience of developing and accurately maintaining administrative systems and of handling a high volume of electronic data, you will also hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have gained some of their experience in an education setting and have experience of using relevant systems, such as Bromcom, although this is not essential as training can be provided. As well as technical skills, you will need to be able to form effective relationships with students, staff and external bodies.

The post is advertised as term time plus five days, and you will be required to work those five days as the first day of each academic year, and the Wednesday and Thursday of both the A Level and GCSE Results weeks in August each year.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check is required for this post.
