About this Role

TA Advert- DSP provision

Are you passionate about supporting students with an ASD diagnosis to make progress in all areas?

Are you able to think outside the box and be creative?

Are you able to see everyday as a fresh start?

Are you looking for a new opportunity to work in a forward-thinking school?

If the answer is yes- we want you!

We are looking to recruit teaching assistants to become part of our fantastic team supporting children in ‘The Nest’ our Autism provision.  Our provision has grown substantially, with 74 children now on role across our two provisions- one based at Hunsbury Park for Key Stage One children and the other at Chiltern Primary for Key Stage two children.

The role of the teaching assistant will consist of supporting learning led by the class teacher, small group work and 1.1 teaching. In addition, teaching assistants will support students with personal care and hygiene.

The teaching assistant will be responsible for assisting the teacher to plan and assess student progress in all areas of the curriculum, whilst managing any behaviours displayed by students.

You should have proven experience of working within primary schools and have at least NVQ2 qualifications or GCSE C or above in both English and Maths.

Please see the Job Description and Personal Specification for further information.

We encourage school visits and should you wish to organise this or for further information, a copy of the full job description or an application form please contact Louise Kinning in the School Office on 01604 761566 or email office@hunsburypark.org

All applications must be submitted via mynewterm.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share in this commitment.  This post is subject to safe recruitment practices and all necessary checks will be made prior to employment commencing
