About this Role

We are looking for an experienced Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant who is an enthusiastic, positive and hardworking individual to join our team and support us to improve the learning experiences for our students in our rapidly improving school. As part of the role you will be expected to support a range of children with diverse needs within the classroom, support groups of children in their learning and deliver academic interventions to small groups and SEND children.

  • To inspire, motivate and support children in their learning
  • To assist the teacher with day-to-day work and management of pupils and the classroom
  • To work under the guidance/instruction of teaching staff to support the delivery of quality first teaching
  • To raise standards of achievement for all pupils
  •  To promote the social development of all pupils
  • Deliver learning programmes for individuals and small groups
  • Enable pupils to become independent learners
  • Support children with learning plans to meet their targets

 

We are seeking someone who:

  • ·         A positive mindset and a can-do attitude
  • ·         A desire to support all children to achieve their full potential
  • ·         Previous experience of working with and supporting children
  • ·         Good communication skills and a good level of English and Maths (GCSE C grade or equivalent)
  • ·         Ability to lead learning with individuals and groups
  • ·         The skills to work both independently and as part of a team
  • ·         The flexibility to support children across the phase
  • ·         A calm, approachable and empathetic approach
  • ·         Have good behaviour management techniques
  • ·         High expectations of yourself and pupils and the ability to act as a good role model
  • ·         Personal commitment to on-going professional development and the life of the school
