St Andrew’s School is a small independent school (up to 60 students) which caters for students aged 6 to 16 years with social and communication difficulties and specialises in working with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (high functioning).

We currently have a vacancy for a fulltime Teacher to join our committed and hardworking staff team as soon as possible on a permanent basis.

You will need to have experience of teaching a core subject at KS3/4 but may also be expected to teach lessons for other subjects (to be discussed at interview).

We are looking for someone who:

· Is committed to improving outcomes for young people.

· Can provide high quality, challenging and differentiated lessons

· Possesses good organisational skills and has high standards

· Can be adaptable, resourceful and use their own initiative as well as provide support to other Teachers and Teaching Assistants

· Has the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms

· Has previous experience of working with young people with SEN
