About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity to begin a rewarding career in People & Culture at one of the leading schools in the UK.

Uppingham School is looking for an organised, confident and proactive Apprentice Training Coordinator to help shape and support the way learning and development for employees is delivered across the school.

As a key member of our People & Culture team you will help manage the school’s staff training calendar, organise sessions and resources, and support staff induction and onboarding. You will also maintain training records and communicate with colleagues and external training providers and help improve the way training is planned, recorded and delivered.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and the confidence to communicate with different people. You do not need previous HR experience, but you should be reliable, positive, comfortable using IT, and interested in learning, training or staff development.

You will gain hands-on experience, mentoring and formal training, working towards a nationally recognised qualification while contributing to a busy and supportive People & Culture team.

In return, Uppingham offers a supportive and well-resourced environment designed to enhance both your professional and personal development, in addition to 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, free staff lunches in term time, free Westfield Healthcare, access to the School’s sports centre, retail and leisure discounts, and a range of other staff benefits.
