Finance Manager
Salary: Grade 9-10 (£36,624–46,606) depending on experience and skills. Grade 11 (£47,990-£53,446) available for an exceptional candidate.
Hours Full Time, 37 hours per week.
Start Date: July 2026 (flexible depending on the successful candidate)
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance professional to join a unique school with outstanding facilities and at a time when a new build is just starting as of Easter 2026!
Northfleet Technology College are looking to appoint a Finance Manager who can manage resources with total transparency and precision, who will lead the school’s financial operations, including budget setting and management, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance and forward financial planning. This includes managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processes, month-end reconciliation, audit preparation and financial forecasting. You will prepare and present reports for governors, senior leaders and external auditors.
The role requires a combination of technical financial expertise and strategic insight. You will support leaders in setting budgets, analysing expenditure, preparing annual salary review, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring best value. You will also oversee financial policies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage software systems and supervise finance staff.
The successful candidate will be involved in the operation oversight of support services & bespoke projects, such as the new build and school premises.
You will work closely with all stakeholders and the school leadership team places a strong emphasis on financial sustainability, strategic planning and ensuring that resources are used effectively to support student outcomes and staff wellbeing.
The successful Finance Manager will lead a small team and will report directly to the Headteacher. You will play a major role in ensuring the financial health of the school, a school that values precision, transparency and accountability.
