The Role
This is a maternity cover role to join an established safeguarding team consisting of the Designated Safeguarding Lead, a second Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Attendance Officers and a First Aider.
As DDSL you will have a high profile around the
school, you will be proactive in responding to CPOMS alerts and radio alerts
from other members of staff. You will
often be the first point of contact for students who are experiencing
difficulties or are in need of support, so you will need to provide a trusted
and accessible presence. Taking accurate
statements and maintaining records is a key part of the role, as is working
effectively with the rest of the safeguarding team.
