We are seeking an innovative, energetic and inspiring Teacher of Art to join our busy and highly successful department. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner to contribute to a vibrant creative community and inspire students to develop independence, ambition and a strong personal voice in their work.

The successful candidate will be a confident and reflective teacher with a passion for art education and a commitment to fostering creativity across all abilities. You will be keen to support students in exploring ideas, taking creative risks and producing original, thoughtful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Bring strong practical skills across a range of artistic disciplines
  • Ideally have experience teaching Art at GCSE and A Level
  • Have, or be willing to develop, experience teaching digital photography and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Support students in developing independent ideas and a personal artistic voice
  • Show enthusiasm for exhibitions, artists and contemporary practice
  • Contribute to a rich co-curricular programme, including clubs, life drawing sessions and departmental enrichment
  • Maintain high standards in marking, assessment and classroom organisation
  • Create inspiring displays that celebrate student achievement
  • Play an active and positive role within a collaborative and supportive team
