At Lochinver House School, we believe that happy, confident children achieve extraordinary things and behind every seamless lesson, performance, or school day is a team making it all possible.
We are looking for a proactive and personable IT Technician to join our friendly and supportive community. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping others, and being part of a school where technology plays a vital role in teaching, learning, and daily life.
Lochinver House is a thriving independent school for pupils aged 3–13, known for its warm, inclusive culture and commitment to developing the whole child. As part of the Haberdashers’ family of schools, we combine tradition with innovation, offering a forward-thinking environment where both pupils and staff flourish.
Our staff are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be joining a collaborative, welcoming team where your ideas are valued, your development is supported, and your work has real impact every single day.
The role
As our IT Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for staff and pupils needing support—keeping systems running smoothly and ensuring that technology enhances, rather than disrupts, the school day.
From troubleshooting classroom tech issues to supporting school events, no two days will be the same. You’ll:
Whether you’re setting up devices, supporting a lesson, or helping deliver a major school event, your work will directly support teaching and learning.
About you
You’ll be someone who:
Previous experience in an IT support or service desk environment is helpful—but just as important is your attitude, curiosity, and willingness to grow.
What we offer
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
Lochinver House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
