Plumbing and Maintenance Operative

RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with circa 850 pupils aged 2 to 18 and over 250 teaching and support staff. We are situated on a beautiful 300-acre parkland estate near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.

Working within the Premises Department, the Plumbing Maintenance Operative will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the water services in school buildings and facilities, including its residential properties. The operative will also need to carry out general maintenance jobs where the need arises.
The operative will undertake daily management of work requests received and ensure both proactive and reactive maintenance is carried out to the highest standards in a timely manner. Work undertaken will require close liaison with other members of the Premises team. The operative will report to the Premises Manager.
This is a permanent role and is required for 40 hours per week, working an 8-hour shift pattern between 7.00am and 7.00pm from Monday to Friday. The post holders pay will be up to £39,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience).
