Are you an ambitious, compassionate pastoral leader looking to make a highly visible impact? The Royal Masonic School for Girls (RMS) is seeking an experienced Housemistress to transform the pupil experience and support he strategic direction of our boarding community.

Set within a stunning 300-acre parkland estate, RMS is a leading independent school educating over 800 girls, aged 2 to 18. The Role

Leading a dynamic boarding team, you will oversee the welfare, academic progress, and personal development of approximately 30 full, weekly, and flexi boarders spanning from Years 5 to Year 11. This is far more than a supervisory role - you will be empowered to drive innovative boarding practices, shape strategic pastoral initiatives, and play a crucial part in boarding recruitment alongside our Admissions and Marketing team.

For teaching candidates, we provide a significantly reduced teaching allocation (up to 40% of a full-time timetable), ensuring you have the dedicated time needed to truly champion and lead your House.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be an enthusiastic, highly organised, and resilient leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of working successfully in a boarding or pastoral environment. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and pastoral care, while bringing fresh, innovative ideas to inspire our students and staff.
