Required for September 2026

Fixed Term Contract until August 2027

We are seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join our school. RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with circa 900 pupils aged 2 to 18 and over 250 teaching and support staff.  We are situated on a beautiful 300-acre parkland estate near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.

RMS is a distinctive and thriving school, values-led at heart and attaining exceptional outcomes through living our Mission that “Every pupil thrives and is prepared to shape their future”.  Potential candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school website www.rmsforgirls.com for more information.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Registered Nurse professional in a job share capacity. This role will be shared with the current Senior Registered Nurse. Reporting directly to the Deputy Head – Pastoral the Senior Registered School Nurse is expected to ensure the Health Centre provides a clinically effective, high-quality service of nursing care to pupils and first aid care to all members of the school community.

We require a Senior Registered Nurse to lead the Medical Centre and Medical Team three days per week. The postholder will be student-focused, clinically sharp, and an excellent communicator. Since this is a job share, your ability to provide clear handovers and work in sync with your counterpart is key to making this role a success.

The role is required 3 days per week (21 to 24 hours per week), Wednesday to Friday.

Further information about the role can be found in the job description.

Potential candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school website https://www.rmsforgirls.com/about-us/working-at-rms/ and social media accounts for more information about our thriving school, with its inclusive community spirit that encourages both girls and staff to share a commitment to continued personal, professional and academic development.
