We would be delighted to show prospective applicants around the school and will be holding tours either side of the Easter break. Please book a place with our HR Officer, Clare Richardson, at hr@ashlyns.herts.sch.uk or 01442 863 605

Application Process

The section in italics below is taken from our School Improvement Plan. In their Personal Statement, applicants should outline how their experience to date has prepared them to lead others in delivering this at Ashlyns as part of the school’s senior leadership team.

At Ashlyns we want students to be happy and successful.  Our guiding principle is for every child to have the best possible start in life and the opportunity to be the best version of themselves.

Our Staff and Governors aim to achieve this, leading by example, and by:

  • Ensuring that academic achievement at Ashlyns is excellent

  • Ensuring that the experiential side of life at Ashlyns is a priority for students.  We believe this is fundamental in enriching and equipping well-rounded young adults prepared for life.

  • Ensuring that Ashlyns students receive exceptional care.  ‘The child’s needs come first’ is central to our model of pastoral support.

The school does not accept CVs.  We use an anonymised shortlisting system to ensure a fair and unbiased process.
