About this Role

We are committed to delivering an education that provides students with the relevant skills and experiences to prepare them for further education and the world of work, but also to develop their character to become fully fledged members of society.

Our Food Technology department provides excellent facilities for high quality teaching, with fully equipped kitchens and technician support.  The working environment is excellent with all staff employing outstanding teamworking skills.  At KS3, we have an enriching and engaging curriculum with the opportunity for students to enhance their passion for Food Technology with our extracurricular clubs. We teach on rotation with 4 hours per fortnight, which includes a 2-hour practical lesson and 2 one-hour lessons for theory and teacher demonstrations. At GCSE, Food Preparation and Nutrition is a popular option with 2 GCSE groups, we have 6 hours a fortnight with at least one 2-hour practical lesson. The Food Technology department is exemplary with consistently high achieving results at GCSE.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Food Technology team. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. ECTs are welcome to apply, and we will be happy to discuss the support we can offer you as you continue your professional development.

Our lovely school has made tremendous progress in recent years. At KS4 our students’ make excellent progress, above that of other schools nationally. Performance in English and maths are above national trends. The school has made excellent progress in Ebacc subjects as well as our other option subjects. In addition, the school has made significant improvements for vulnerable groups. Our average P8 score over the last 3 years is +0.39, 9-5 63%. KS5 outcomes have been consistently strong with our Alps three-year T-score being 3 for both A Level and Vocational. The size of The Nobel School Sixth Form has increased year on year, with students achieving fantastic results and progressing into further education. Each year we have students placed at Oxford or Cambridge, into medicine degrees and many other destinations or careers.

To arrange an informal visit please contact Suzanne Crow at the email below.  The closing date for applications is 9.00am Sunday 22 March 2026.
