About this Role

Are you a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner with a passion for supporting young children to thrive? Do you want to make a real difference in a nurturing and supportive school community?

If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team on a part-time, term-time only basis. The role is for 27.5 hours per week (8:45am – 3:15pm daily, including a 1-hour lunch break) and may include lunchtime supervision.

We are a small school with a big heart, where every child is known, valued and supported. Our Early Years environment is warm, engaging and focused on developing confident, happy learners. You will be working alongside a dedicated and supportive team who are passionate about providing the very best start for our children.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or be willing to work towards this)
  • Have experience of working with young children, preferably within an EYFS setting
  • Be nurturing, patient and enthusiastic
  • Have a good understanding of how young children learn and develop
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be committed to supporting the wellbeing and development of all pupils

The staff and children are at the heart of everything we do. If being part of a caring, family-friendly community is important to you, we warmly encourage you to visit us and see our school in action.

We are a Catholic school and, whilst applicants do not need to be Catholic, they must be supportive of and committed to the Catholic ethos of the school.

Visits are warmly welcomed by prior arrangement. Please contact Carmela Puccio (Headteacher) to find out more.

St Margaret Clitherow School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to satisfactory recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check, medical clearance, satisfactory references and online checks. The school reserves the right to close this advert early and appoint should a suitable candidate be found.
