You will:

• Provide strategic leadership to the governing body
• Chair the Governing Body and its business effectively
• Support, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the school
• Ensure accountability for the standards achieved and the quality of education
• Help the Governing Body to work as a team to challenge, support and contribute to the strategic leadership of the school.

About you

We welcome applications from individuals who:

• Have experience of governance.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Experience in finance
• Can dedicate time to Governing Body meetings.
• While knowledge of education is helpful it is not essential to this role.

Time Commitment

• The Governing Body meet 6 times a year, these are held in person or online
• Regular catchups with the Headteacher
• Preparation time for both of the above
• Any other ad-hoc meetings as and when required
