About this Role

Heron Primary School is looking to appoint a reliable, caring & enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with lunch time cover duties.

The successful candidate will be supporting a pupil with medical needs in EYFS, with the potential to work across EYFS and key Stage 1 in the classrooms and in small groups. Experience of working in a primary school setting is preferable. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a positive and sensitive approach that puts the needs of the child first, strong interpersonal skills, ability to show initiative and a clear understanding of the ways in which children learn successfully. An ability to show experience of behaviour modelling and behaviour management strategies would also be an advantage.

 The TA position will be for 28.75 hours per week which will be worked as follows:

Mon - Fri: 8.30am – 12.00 & 1.00pm – 3.15pm

You will also be required to support with 0.5 hours lunchtime duty per day, between 12:00 & 1:00pm.
