Hours:  Full Time

Start Date: Monday 2nd November 2026

Hours: The normal school day runs from 8.30-4.30, starting at 8am on a Wednesday morning

The Position

This position would suit experienced teachers and those who have recently completed their ECT period and would start after October half term 2026.

This is a maternity cover position and could extend to a full year’s employment at the school depending on curriculum and staffing requirements.

Key responsibilities

●        To teach Geography across Years 6 – 11 including GCSE.

●        To promote Geography as a subject within the School.

●        To lead the development of the Geography Department.

●        To fulfill the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.

●        To meet the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards.

●        To understand how pupils' learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and understand the stages of child development.
