Join the heart of our friendly school community
St Michael's is a thriving independent preparatory school for children aged 2 to 11, set in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional education within a warm, caring and supportive environment where every child is known and encouraged to flourish.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and professional Office Administrator to join our busy School Office from September 2026.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to teaching staff, assist with school communications, prepare documentation for events and educational visits, help coordinate the weekly Friday communications to parents and staff, and provide Reception cover when required. Above all, you will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and be committed to delivering an excellent level of customer service.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, approachable and enjoys working with people.
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and IT systems.
- Can manage a varied workload with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Is able to work independently whilst also being a supportive member of the wider school team.
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive school community where your contribution will make a real difference every day.
If you are looking for a varied role in a school where relationships matter and every day brings something different, we would be delighted to hear from you.
