Learning Support Assistant

Contract: Term-time only 
Salary: LGS Scale 3 pts 5-6 + London Fringe Allowance (pro rata)

26.67 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:45am - 3pm

About the Role

We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team and help create a learning environment where every student can thrive. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with students, understands the importance of inclusive education, and is eager to make a meaningful difference each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
  • Encourage students’ independence, confidence and participation in school life.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students, staff and families.

About You

  • Warm, patient and committed to helping students succeed.
  • Able to adapt your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Confident communicating with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Experience in a school or SEND setting is beneficial but not essential.
