About this Role
We are looking for a committed Governor
with Finance Expertise to join the governing body of our successful
special school in Plymouth. However, the role can be carried out virtually so
you don’t need to be based in Plymouth.
Our school supports children and young
people with severe and profound learning needs, including autism,
physical disabilities and complex medical needs. We are an ambitious, caring
and inclusive school, and our governors play a vital role in helping us
continue to provide the very best opportunities for our pupils.
We are particularly keen to hear from
someone with experience in finance, accounting, audit, budgeting, business
planning or financial oversight. You will help the governing body monitor the
school’s financial position, consider financial risks and ensure that resources
are used effectively to support the best possible outcomes for pupils.
You don't need previous experience as a
school governor as we will provide a full induction and support. What matters
most is your ability to bring sound financial judgement, ask constructive
questions and share our commitment to improving the lives of children and young
people with complex needs.
The role can be carried out online,
offering flexibility for the right candidate.
If you have financial expertise and would like to use your skills to support a successful and highly specialist school, we would love to hear from you.
Safeguarding Statement
Mill Ford School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Mill Ford School ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
