The Headteacher and Governors of Southmead Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and dedicated School Business Manager to join our school leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional who is passionate about making a difference to children’s lives be ensuring the school operates effectively, efficiently and sustainably. Working closely with the Headteacher and Governors , you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the school’s vision and long-term success.
As School Business manager you will lead and oversee all aspects of the school’s business and operational functions, ensuring that resources are managed effectively to support outstanding teaching and learning.
Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic financial planning, budget management and financial
reporting.

Supporting the Headteacher and Governors with school
improvement and development planning.
·
Leading on procurement, contracts and value for money
initiatives.
·
Managing human resources processes, recruitment and staffing
administration.
·
Overseeing premises, health and safety, compliance and
facilities management.
·
Leading administrative and support services across the
school.
·
Developing systems and processes that drive efficiency and
excellence.
·
Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory
requirements.
· Contributing to the strategic leadership and future direction of the school.
We are looking for someone who:
·
Has experience in financial and operational management.
·
Has a relevant qualification in business administration,
finance or school business management (eg CSBM, DSBM).
·
Is an effective leader with excellent organisational and
communication skills.
·
Can think strategically while maintaining attention to
detail.
·
Builds positive relationships with staff, governors, families
and external agencies.
·
Demonstrates initiative, resilience and a commitment to
continuous improvement.
·
Is passionate about supporting the best possible outcomes for
children.
