This exciting new role has been created to support students at Lady Manners overcome their barriers to literacy.  Your role will focus on supporting identified students at Key Stages 3 and 4 through targeted work in class and small group interventions.  Working as part of the English department you will help deliver the English curriculum and close gaps in academic progress.  You will also work alongside the Inclusion Team to help students overcome barriers to learning and support overall wellbeing.

You should have a good standard of education, experience working with children or young people in an educational or youth setting, and understanding of how to support children and young people to overcome barriers to learning.  The successful candidate will be supported by the English and Inclusion Departments, and will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about these areas.

You should have excellent skills in English and be able to work independently and as part of our team of teachers.  Knowledge of the AQA GCSE English Language and Literatures specification would be an advantage.
