School Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our school and preschool. This is a key role working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school runs efficiently, compliantly, and effectively, enabling staff to focus on delivering excellent teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing specific staff members (e.g. administrative), including recruitment, performance management, and development
• Overseeing school operations including administration, HR, compliance, ICT, and health & safety
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including safeguarding, data protection, and the Single Central Record
• Monitoring health & safety, risk management, and site operations
• Supporting safeguarding procedures, including attendance monitoring and record keeping
• Managing school communications, including the website and social media
• Providing operational support to the Headteacher and contributing to strategic planning

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong organisational and leadership skills
• Has experience in school or business operations (education experience desirable)
• Has a good understanding of compliance, HR processes, and data protection
• Is proactive, solution-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the school community.
