About this Role

Oakdale is a popular school with a good reputation locally.  Our school expanded in 2019 and we have moved from a one form to two form entry.  This expansion means that we have a beautiful environment in which to work and teach.  To help maintain this, we are looking for an energetic, hardworking and enthusiastic person, who has a range of practical skills, to join our successful school team and undertake duties that will keep our site safe, clean and healthy.

The successful candidate will work with us to provide a great environment for our children, staff and visitors by being friendly and approachable and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the site. The ability to form good working relationships with adults and children, together with some IT knowledge and the ability to learn about systems related to the running and organisation of the school, such as Fire and security systems, plant room equipment etc are key for this role.

You will:

·         Be flexible in your approach to working

·         Have a good understanding of Health and Safety procedures/compliance

·         Be self-motivated, trust worthy and proactive

·         Work effectively and supportively as a member of a team and also have the confidence and ability to act on your own initiative, dealing with unexpected problems that may arise

·         Have a positive outlook and a good work ethic, taking pride in your work

·         Have good communication skills

·         Have a facilities background and/or had previous experience of working in a school environment

Visits to our school are welcomed and recommended.  We would love you to come and join and friendly, welcoming, hardworking team that we are all proud to work in.  Please call the office and speak to Naomi or Hannah on 01733 566237 to arrange a visit.
