Teaching Assistants

Salary: Grade 2, Point 5

Salary: £25,583 fte (actual pro rata salary £19,677)

We are seeking to appoint a caring teaching assistant to join our committed, professional and friendly team.  The current vacancy is within EYFS/Key Stage 1 team supporting the learning, social, communication and emotional needs of pupils.  The role will include supporting children 1:1 and in small groups and will contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils.  The role would be suitable for candidates with experience.  The role is working 8.45-3.15pm term time only.

We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:

  • have experience in or a desire to work in a Primary School Setting  and/or
  • have speciality Early Years experience
  • have experience of successfully supporting children with SEN, communication and interaction needs (including ASD) 
  • have experience of successfully supporting children with medical, social, emotional and mental health needs 
  • have experience of successfully supporting children for whom English is an additional language

We would expect all Level Two teaching assistants to:

  • have a good rapport with children and are able to engage them in learning
  • have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour
  • promote the aims and values of the school
  • work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve
  • be willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

The successful candidate will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.
