About this Role

Morley Memorial Primary School is embarking on an exciting journey to improve play for all of our children. Working in partnership with OPAL, we are looking to design a truly inclusive play experience, increase opportunities for child-led play and introduce appropriate risk and challenge to lunchtime play.

Play Co-ordinator

Part time (12 hours per week)

Salary Grade 3, £26,824-£28,142 per annum FTE. ( Actual salary will be  pro-rata for term-time only, part-time working.)

The Play Co-ordinator is a pivotal role. As well as being part of a larger strategic OPAL working group the Play Co-ordinator will be responsible, along with a team of lunchtime staff, for ‘making it happen’ in the playground every day.

This role is as much about inclusion as it is about play so we are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about both play and inclusion

  • Enjoys spending time with children helping them learn, grow and play

  • Has understanding and experience of supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Is committed to using research and evidence to drive the development of our play provision

  • Can inspire others to be passionate about inclusive play and act as a play advocate

  • Is a great team player, able to work with children, staff, parents and the whole school community
