Welcome to Romans Field
School, a nurturing Special School dedicated to children aged 5 to 11, with
a Secondary Provision for young people aged 11 to 16 with Autism Spectrum
Condition (ASC). Our pupils all have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
and represent a diverse range of needs including ASC, Communication and
Interaction, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and Complex Needs.
Since increasing our Pupil Admission Number to 66, in the Primary
Special School in September 2022, and with the exciting expansion of our
Secondary ASC provision opened in September 2024 for up to 24 children with the
potential for further growth in 2026, our school continues to grow and evolve.
As part of the Inclusive Learning Federation alongside Priory Common School and
Bradwell Village School, we benefit from shared expertise and collaboration,
ensuring every child receives the best possible education.
At Romans Field School, we
pride ourselves on delivering an inclusive, family ethos where children are
supported to become resilient, independent, lifelong learners. Our tailored
curriculum pathways—Shared, Structured, and Scaffolded—combine the National
Curriculum with our bespoke RF curriculum, enriched by sensory resources and
activities to meet individual needs. We believe in Building Success Together
by working closely with families and external agencies to unlock each pupil’s
full potential socially, emotionally, and academically.
Our core values
of Respect, Honesty, Empathy, and Perseverance underpin everything we
do, ensuring a safe, happy, and successful environment for all.
