About this Role

Are you organised, practical, and passionate about supporting students in their learning? Do you have an interest in food preparation and maintaining a safe, efficient environment? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Food Technician to join our Design & Technology team. You will play a vital role in supporting the teaching of Food Technology by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

What We are Looking For:

·       Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Confidence using ICT and maintaining accurate records

·       A calm, flexible approach and willingness to learn

·       Food Hygiene & Safety certificate (or willingness to complete)

Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare and maintain food areas, equipment, and materials for lessons

·       Assist teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring safe working practices

·       Manage stock levels, order supplies, and shop for ingredients when required

·       Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, including deep cleaning when necessary

·       Support health and safety compliance and complete relevant checks and records
