We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team, supporting children within our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Unit during lunchtime periods.

This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and playing with children whilst also helping them enjoy a positive and safe lunchtime experience.

The Role

As a Midday Supervisor, you will:

  • Support pupils within the SEND Unit during lunchtime.
  • Help children develop independence, communication and social skills.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed school strategies.
  • Assist with eating, personal care and hygiene routines where required.
  • Promote engaging and inclusive play activities.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of all children at all times.
  • Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and senior leaders to provide consistent support.

  • Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a school, specialist setting or childcare environment.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and understanding.
  • Can build positive relationships with children
  • Is calm and resilient when supporting children with complex needs.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion and child-centred practice.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
