Our dynamic special needs school is looking for Health & Care Assistants to support and nurture our incredible pupils across the secondary age part of our school.
This is a role supporting our class-based staff in the care of our young people, including completing medical and personal care tasks.

Ivel Valley is a special needs school and college in Biggleswade, providing education for pupils aged 3-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
Our school site on Hitchmead Road supports pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 4 with the majority of students continuing on to post-16 education at our College site at The Baulk, Biggleswade.
The posts are permanent working term time only with a start time of between 8.30 – 9.30am and finish time of between 2.45 – 3.45pm. Part-time requests will also be considered for a reduced number of days. You will be provided with a full induction programme to give you the training you need to succeed. You are not required to have any school-based experience, just a great attitude! Experience in the social care sector would be an advantage (but isn’t essential). You will join an established team of supportive collegaues.
Pay Scale is NJC 1D Point 2 - 4 - starting at Point 2 £12.65 an hour. This is a term time only contract but you will be paid for 45.4 weeks per year to cover working INSET days, holiday pay and bank holidays. You will have 30 minutes unpaid break each day.
