Do you have a positive attitude towards children and young people and the ability to demonstrate and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviours?

We are looking for a confident team player with good communication skills and the ability to supervise groups of children and young people in our Senior School during the lunch break and whilst they are waiting for school transport/collection at the end of the day.

In between lunchtime and after school you will be required to support in other areas of the school, this could include general duties around the Senior or Junior School such as putting up displays, reading with children or helping organise lost property.

In return, we can offer a competitive salary, a friendly and supportive working environment, the option to be part of a private healthcare scheme, a generous pension scheme, free lunches (in term time) and free parking.

Hours of work are 1.00pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, term time only

The Harpur Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references and other relevant checks.  The School may carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children."
