About this Role

Paid as Advised (Hourly rate depending on experience: £12.80 to £38.41)

Working Hours: 4 hours per week, from either:

· Monday to Wednesday after school (4.30–5.50pm)

· Wednesday during Games time (2.15–4.15pm)

Bedford School seeks an experienced and energetic Head of Water Polo to join our thriving Sport Department. The successful candidate will have the expertise and enthusiasm to develop pupils’ water polo and swimming skills, strengthen the competitive programme, and raise performance across all squads.

This role will involve coaching both our co-curricular and selective team players, preparing teams for fixtures and ESSA competitions, and working closely with the Director of Sport and swimming staff to integrate water polo within the wider aquatics programme.

Applicants should hold a Swim England Water Polo Coaching qualification (or equivalent), have experience coaching at school, club, or regional level, and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills. A lifeguard qualification (NPLQ or equivalent) is desirable.
